mail your Zippo lighter or Zippo product to the Zippo Repair Clinic.
The Zippo Repair Clinic is the only authorized repair center for Zippo
products. Upon arrival, your Zippo lighter or Zippo product is
assigned a repair code, then taken to one of their technicians for
repair. When completed, it is forwarded to the Zippo Repair Clinic
shipping area to be returned via UPS or Insured mail. For more

the "Repairs" link followed by the "Send a lighter for repair" link.
Zippo Manufacturing Company's normal repair policy is to replace the inside lighting mechanism of the lighter with a new inside of the current year manufacture. They also repair the hinge on the same outside lighter case. The finish, however, is not guaranteed. In the event that the lighter cannot be repaired, it would be replaced. If your lighter has a special design or sentimental value and you do not want it replaced, please indicate this in your correspondence to Zippo.
If you value your lighter as a keepsake, please insure the package through the U. S. Post Office or send it via United Parcel Service. Your lighter will be returned to you via Insured Mail or United Parcel Service.
How to send your Zippo product in for Repair:

Please remove the flint from the lighter and allow the fuel to evaporate from the inside lighting mechanism two or three days before mailing it.
Please print your name, complete return address and telephone number clearly on the outside of the package, as well as enclosing the same information inside the package with the
Zippo lighter or other Zippo product.
